The StartPunkt is the connection point for all important signals and for the operating voltage of the CAN-modules, besides it is also a little CAN-distributor.
The voltage connection is a small 2,1mm jack, the therefor used power pack delivers 1,5 A with 12V DC. In order that short circuits in the cabling do not cause too grave consequences, the StartPunkt has received a fuse for the operating voltage.
Furthermore, the StartPunkt has also the function to provide a simple plug connection to the known CAN-central-devices, like e.g. the CS2. This is effected through a 6-pole mini-DIN jack.
A conjunction with the CS2 can be confected elegantly by using a CS2/CS2-connection-cable.
The connection to the Gleisbox and the MS2 can just as well be established easily. For that purpose a fitting cable with a 6- and a 10-pole plug is available. Who fancy doing so, can manufacture the cable by himself, because I now dug up 10-pole plugs.
The small 2-pole screw-type terminal is also the junction for the digital tracksignal of the leading power station, via which the ModulBooster gets its needed signal. Here nearly every central device can be connected with. More information can be found here in the description of the ModulBooster.
