Connection

General:

The OptoPlatine Basic serves the galvanic isolation of all of the 16 GleisReporters Basic's inputs. Together with this circuit board the GleisReporter Basic can be used at the Central Station 2, the CS 3 or at the Gleisbox (Trackbox).

Each side of the module can be connected to a separate circuit. However, both sides can also be connected to a booster or a central unit. It is only neccessary to note that both booster voltage connections are connected for operation (see connection diagram).

Notice:

When using the the Optoplatine it must be noted that if the board is supplied via the track signal, in the event of a fault or failure of the track signal, all messages also disappear!

Connection:

OptoPlatine and DiodenHalter (diode trick) can be combined at the GleisReporter Basic.

But, please be aware that this functions only with the classical control units, like the 6021.

Such a combination is not possible with the Gleisbox and other modern central units, that are supplied from a switch-mode power supply unit!

Here can only be used one or the other!
